A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
PRE-QUALIFIED PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION JOINT
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BY THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS - PORT OF FORT
PIERCE- TAYLOR CREEK RESTORATION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE ST. LUCIE
COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
BY APPROVING IT AS TO LEGAL FORM AND
CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. The Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, and the Florida
Department of Transportation Office of Modal Development desire to enter into a State of
Florida Department of Transportation Office of Modal Development Pre-Qualified Public
Transportation Joint Participation Agreement.
2. The purpose of the Agreement is to provide funding for expenses incurred by the
Port of Fort Pierce during the restoration of Taylor Creek. The Financial Project No. under
this Joint Participation Agreement is 41545019401.
3. In order to fulfill the requirements of the State of Florida Department of
Transportation under this project, it is necessary for the State of Florida Department of
Transportation to receive a resolution authorizing the acceptance of the State of Florida

Department of Transportation Pre-Qualified Public Transportation Joint Participation
Agreement by St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners - Port of Fort Pierce Taylor
Creek Restoration; and authorizing the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to
execute the agreement, and further authorizing the County Attorney to execute the
agreement by approving it as to legal form and correctness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby authorize the acceptance of the State of Florida
Department of Transportation Pre-Qualified Public Transportation Joint Participation
Agreement to provide funding to the Port of Fort Pierce Taylor Creek Restoration.
2. Further this Board authorizes the Chairman of the St. Lucie County Board of
County Commissioners to execute the agreement, and authorizes the County Attorney to
execute the agreement by approving it as to legal form and correctness.
