A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STATE OF
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION JOINT PARTICIPATION
AGREEMENT BY THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS -
PORT OF FORT PIERCE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CHAIRMAN OF THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT
AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. On August 12, 2003 the Board of County Commissioners approved the Joint
Participation Agreement in the amount of $472,000.00 between St. Lucie County - Port of
Fort Pierce and the Florida Department of Transportation and authorized the Board of
County Commissioners to execute the agreement.
2. The purpose of the Agreement is to provide funding to the Port of Fort Pierce for
land acquisition activities and planning study. The Financial Project No. under this Joint
Participation Agreement is 41508619401.
3. In order to continue with this Joint Participation Agreement, it is necessary for
the State of Florida Department of Transportation to receive a resolution accepting the
State of Florida Department of Transportation Public Transportation Joint Participation

Agreement by St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners - Port of Fort Pierce and
authorizing the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners - Port of Fort Pierce to
execute the agreement, and further authorizing the County Attorney to execute the
agreement by approving it as to form and correctness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby accept the State of Florida Department of Transportation
Public Transportation Joint Participation Agreement to provide funding to the Port of Fort
Pierce for land acquisition activities and planning study.
2. Further this Board authorizes the Chairman of the St. Lucie County Board of
County Commissioners - Port of Fort Pierce to execute the agreement, and authorizes the
County Attorney to execute the agreement by approving it as to form and correctness.
After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as follows:
