The presence of Humcaae Frances has placed the Town of St. Lucie Village in a state of emergency, exposing the citizens thereof to the threat of mwainem violence and ro danger to life and propert3,. 4, On September i .2004, airlift---5,~__..m., ;he Mayor declared a state of'local emergency in the Town of St. Lucie Village (copy attached'). 5. In order to re~ond to such omergen:y, upon this declaration, the Mayor is authorized m initiate and take ~uch actions auUaorized by Sectie'r,s 870.041 - $70.047, Fkmda Statutes. 6. As a result of the effects of Hurricane Frances: there is a clear and present danger of civil disorder in the Town of Sr. Lucie Village said widespread disobedience of ;he law and it is necessary ~o order certain em,~rgeacy measures as hereinafter defined ia order to suppress the threat te public peace which now exists and ;o provera substantial injury to persons or property.. Effective September ~, 2004, at~;CC)_ ~..m., the foAowmg emergency measures are effective in the Town of St. Lucie Village: or a consideratioa therefor is prohibitc~. (B) The possession on any containing m~y alcoholic bev~r~.ge is prohibited. or ex~endcd.
