RESOLUTION NO. 04-401
A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 86-132 (WHICH AUTHORIZED THE
CREATION OF A HIGH SPEED RAIL
ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND PROVIDED FOR
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE
COMMITTEE)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. On September 23, 1986, by Resolution No. 86-132, the Board
of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, authorized
the creation of a High Speed Rail Advisory Committee and provided
for duties and functions of the Committee.
2. The High Speed Rail Advisory Committee has fulfilled its
obligations in advising the Board in matters relating to the
promotion and development of the Florida High Speed Rail System.
3. This Board has determined that the Committee is no longer
needed.
4. In order to abolish the High Speed Rail Advisory
Committee, it is necessary to repeal Resolution No. 86-132 in its
entirety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, that this Board does
hereby repeal Resolution No. 86-132 in its entirety and abolishes
the High Speed Rail Advisory Committee.
