RESOLUTION NO. 04-404
A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 90-97 (WHICH AUTHORIZED THE
CREATION OF THE MANATEE PROTECTION
CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND
PROVIDED FOR DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF
THE COMMITTEE)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. On April 3, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida, authorized the creation of the Manatee
Protection Citizens Advisory Committee and provided for duties and
functions of the Committee.
2. The Manatee Protection Citizens Advisory Committee has
fulfilled its obligations in advising the Board in matters relating
to reviewing the interim Manatee Plan, developing a draft permanent
Manatee Protection Plan, planning and recommending the required
financing, developing a draft ordinance, and advising on boating
safety rules, regulations and policies contingent upon State
requirements.
3. This Board has determined that the Committee is no longer
needed.
4. In order to abolish the Manatee Protection Citizens
Advisory Committee, it is necessary to repeal Resolution No. 90-97
In its entirety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, that this Board does
hereby repeal Resolution No. 90-97 in its entirety and abolishes
the Manatee Protection Citizens Advisory Committee.
After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as
follows:
