LUCIE RIVER AND INDIAN RIVER LAGOON WATERSHED DESIGNATE AN ELECTED OFFICIAL AND A STAFF MEMBER TO REPRESENT THEIR LOCAL GOVERNMENT STORMWATER PROGRAM, AND AGREE TO JOIN AND PARTICIPATE IN A COUNCIL OF LOCAL STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FOR THE ST. LUCIE RIVER AND INDIAN RIVER LAGOON) WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. On September 8, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, adopted Resolution No. 98-191 which requested each of the Local Governments in the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon watershed designate an elected official and a staff member to represent their local government stormwater program, and agree to join and participate in a Council of Local Stormwater Management for the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon. 2. The Council of Local Stormwater Management for the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon have fulfilled their obligations in improving water quality, in seeking funding sources for construction for improved water quality, and worked to lmprove local stormwater management consistent with the regional plans of the South Florida Water Management District and the United States Army Corp of Engineers to restore the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon. ." .~ .~. f 3. This Board has determined that the Council of Local Stormwater Management for the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon is no longer needed. 4. In order to abolish the Council of Local Stormwater Management for the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon, it is necessary to repeal Resolution No. 98-191 in its entirety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, that this Board does hereby repeal Resolution No. 98-191 in its entirety and abolishes the Council of Local Stormwater Management for the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon. After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as follows: Chairperson Paula A. Lewis AYE Vice-Chairman John D.
