RESOLUTION NO. 05-113
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
AUTHORIZING THE COMMISSION CHAIR TO EXECUTE
AND FILE A JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH
THE FLORIDA DEPART-MENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
DISTRICT 4, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FOR
CONSTRUCTION INTERMODAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE
DOWNTOWN FORT PIERCE INTERMODAL CENTER AT THE
CLERK OF COURT BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, and the Board of
County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, desire to participate jointly to implement
a grant to provide for a service development plan.
WHEREAS, intermodal improvements at the Clerk of Court facility will benefit the
residents, businesses and visitors in the County.
WHEREAS, public transportation is vital to the quality of life and economic well-being
of the citizens of St. Lucie County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. That the Chair of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is
hereby authorized to execute and file a Joint Participation Agreement with the
Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, in the amount of Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000).
2. Effective date: This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
