A RESOLUTION
OF NOVEMBER,
CARE MONTH"
FLORIDA
PROCLAIMING THE MONTH
2005, AS "HOME HEALTH
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. The concept of home health care is the oldest and most
enduring tradition of health services delivered in the United
States; and provides a wide range of needed health and supportive
services to patients in their own homes.
2. Home health care personnel are devoted to the care and
treatment of all our citizens, and their kindly devotion and
practical assistance to the ill among us exemplifies the highest
idea of our community and nation.
3 . Home health care services help preserve one of the
country's most important values, to keep families together.
4. Services provided through home health care serve patients
in the most compassionate and effective way possible while
retaining the dignity and independence of the individual.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby proclaim the month of November,
2005, as "HOME HEALTH CARE MONTH" in St. Lucie County, Florida to
coincide with the celebration National Home Health Care Month
across the country.
2. This Board urges the citizens of St. Lucie County to j oi.n
in expressing appreciation for the humanitarian servic8 that 110m2
health care provides.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 25th day of October, 2005.
