Harold Martek presented a petition for a change in zoning from the RE-2 (Residential, Estate - 2 du/ac) Zoning District to the RS-2 (Residential, Single-Family - 2 du/ac) Zoning District for the property depicted on the attached maps as Exhibit "A" and described below. 2. On December 8, 2005, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property, and recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve a change in zoning from the RE-2 (Residential, Estate - 2 du/ac) Zoning District to the RS-2 (Residential, Single-Family - 2 du/ac) Zoning District. 3. On February 7,2006, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property. 4. The proposed change in zoning has satisfied the requirements of Section 11.06.03 of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code and is consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan. 5. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the existing and proposed use of property in the surrounding area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida: A. The proposed Change in the Zoning District Classification from the RE-2 (Residential, Estate - 2 du/ac) Zoning District to the RS-2 (Residential, Single-Family - 2 du/ac) File No.: RZ-05-023 February 7, 2006 Resolution 06-002 Page 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 Zoning District for that property depicted on the attached maps as Exhibit "A" and described as follows: SPRING HILL BLK 3 LOTS 1, 2, AND N 1/2 OF LOT 3 AND W 1/2 OF ABANDONED N 160.6 FT OF SHERIDAN LANE (RESOL # 82-153) OR (OR 2093-2375,2377); AND, SPRING HILL BLK 3 S 1/2 OF LOT 3 AND N 50 FT OF LOT 4 (OR 2093-2375, 2377). (Location: The northwest corner of the intersection of Spring Hill Drive and Sheridan Lane.) owned by Harold Martek, is hereby approved. B. The St. Lucie County Growth Management Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause the change to be made on the Official Zoning Map of St. Lucie County, Florida, and to make notation of reference to the date of adoption of this resolution.
