A RESOLUTION 0 F THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST.
LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING
ANY INTEREST OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN
A PORTION OF AN UNOPENED, UN-MAINTAINED PLATTED 60 FOOT
RIGHT-OF-WAY KNOWN AS GROSE ROAD. SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY
LYING IN INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 9,
PAGE 5 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:

That Sections 177.101,336.09 and 336.10, Florida Statutes, as amended, and Section
11.10.01 et. seq. of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code, provide that the
County may adopt resolutions vacating rights-of-way in whole or in part, which are under
the jurisdiction of the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida.
Pursuant to Plat Book 9, Page 5, in St. Lucie County and the general public have a
dedicated interest in the following described land:
That part of a 60 foot road rig/rt-of-way (also known as Grose Road) as shown
on the Plat of Industrial Subdivision, according to the Plat thereof as recorded
in Plat Book 9, Page 5, Public Records of S t. Lucie County, Florida, being
more particul,zrly described as follows:
Bounded on the North by the South line of Lot 13, bounded 011 the South by
the North line of Lot 14, bounded 011 the West by the East right-of-way line 'of
the Branch Line to Farmers Market, and on the East by the West Lille of
Oleander Avenue, all as shown on said Plat of Industrial Subdivision.
Containing 30.217 square feet or 0.69 acres more or less.

3. The abandonment of the unopened, un-maintained right-of-way will pennit the three
business petitioners a better use of the land and it would bring this property onto the tax
rolls at commercial/industrial rate.
4. A Notice of Intent to Abandon was advertised on Aprill, 2005 and April 8, 2005 and no
objections were filed.
5. All relevant public utilities have given written consent for the abandonment. Florida Power
and Light requests an easement for all existing electrical facilities ÍÌom petitioners.
6. County Department Staff members have reviewed the petition and have filed no objections
to the proposed abandonment.
7. All abutting property owners are part of the partitioned abandonment.
8. On October 4, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners approved Pennission to Advertise
for a Public Hearing on November I, 2005.
9. On October 12, 200~, a Notice of Public Hearing was advertised in the Fort Pierce Tribune.
10. It is in the best interest of the public to vacate and abandon the right-of-way more
particularly described as follows:
That part of a 60 foot road right-of-way (also known as Grose Road) as shown on the Plat
of Industrial Subdivision, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 9, Page
5, Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida, being more particularly described as
follows:
Bounded on the North by the South line of Lot 13, bounded on the South by the
North line of Lot 14, bounded a'. the West by the East right-of-way line of the
Branch Line to Farmers Market, and on the East by tI,e West Line of Oleander
Avenue, all as shown on said Plat of Industrial Subdivision.
Containing 30.217 square feet or 0.69 acres more or less
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:

That a portion of the unopened, un-maintained 60 foot platted right-of-way of Grose Road
more particularly described as follows:
That part of a 60 foot road right-of-way (also known as Grose Road) as shown 011
the Plat of Industrial Subdivision, according tot he Plat t hereof as recorded in
Plat Book 9, Page 5, P ubUc R ecords of S t. Lucie County, Florida, being more
particularly described asfollows:
Bounded on the North by the South line of Lot /3, bounded on the South by the
North line of Lot 14, bounded on the West by the East right-of-way line of the
Branch Line (0 Farmers Market, and 011 the East by the West Line of Oleander
Avenue, all a~' shown on said Plat of Industrial Subdivision.
Containing 30.117 square feet or 0.69 acres more or less
is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned and the right, title and interest of St. Lucie County and
the general public in and to said lands hereby disclaimed and renounced.

and 336.10, Florida Statutes, as amended, and the St. Lucie County Land Develppment
Code, Section 11.10.01 et. seq., a public hearing will be held by the St. Lucie County
Board of County Commissioners, in the County Commission Chambers, 3rd floor of the
Roger Poitras Administration Annex: 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida, on
November 1, 2005, at 6:00 PM. or as soon thereafter as practicable, on the petition of
