A RESOLUTION CONGRA TULA TING FIRE
CO-OWNER KURT HOLDEN AND THE
FORT PIERCE FIRE MINOR LEAGUE
FOOTBALL TEAM ON REACHING THE
TOURNAMENT FINALS FOR TWO
CONSECUTIVE YEARS; AND WISHING
THEM CONTINUED SUCCESS IN THE
FUTURE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. After winning the scrimmage game against the Venice Vikings 32-13; the Pre-
Season Game against the Vero Hurricanes 21-0; and winning against the Greenville Knights 25-0,
the Fort Pierce Fire Football Team won five games during the Regular Season from January 21,
2006, through March 25, 2006.
2. On April 8, 2006, the Fort Pierce Fire and Treasure Coast Pirates Minor League
Football Teams began competition in the Southern States Football League Playoffs with a 25-10
win against the Spartans.
3. Although the Fort Pierce Fire Football Team was unable to win the Division
Championship, this Board believes Mr. Kurt Holden and the Ft. Pierce Fire Minor League
Football Team should be congratulated on reaching the Tournament Finals for two consecutive
years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
St. Lucie County, Florida, that this Board does hereby congratulate Fire Co-Owner Kurt
Holden and the Fort Pierce Fire Minor League Football Team on reaching the Tournament Finals
for two consecutive years; and further wishing them continued success in the future.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 16th day of May, 2006.
