RESOLUTION NO. 06 -188
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY,
FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE COMMISSION CHAIR TO EXECUTE AND FILE A JOINT
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
DISTRICT 4, IN THE AMOUNT OF $40,000 FOR MARKETING THE TREASURE COAST
CONNECTOR FIXED ROUTE BUS SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, and the Board of County
Commissioners of SI. Lucie County, Florida, desire to participate jointly to implement a grant to provide for a
service development plan.
WHEREAS, MARKETING THE TREASURE COAST CONNECTOR will benefit the residents,
businesses and visitors in the County.
WHEREAS, public transportation is vital to the quality of life and economic well-being of the citizens of
SI. Lucie County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of SI. Lucie County,
Florida:
1. That the Chair of the SI. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to
execute and file a Joint Participation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation,
District 4, in the amount of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000).
2. Effective date: This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
