RESOLUTION NO. 06-320
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING THE KIDS KRUSADE,
INC., A NOT FOR PROFIT CORPORATION, THE
USE OF DREAMLAND PARK AS A PICKUP AND
DELIVERY LOCATION FOR LIFE FOR YOUTH
CAMP; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Kids Krusade, Inc., a not for profit organization, has
requested the use of the field at Dreamland Park, Fort Pierce, Florida for the
operation of a pickup and delivery location for Life for Youth Camp.
WHEREAS, Section 125.38, Florida Statutes requires that any not for
profit organization wishing to use any real or personal property that may be owned
by any county or this state or by its board of county commissioners, for public or
community interest and welfare, may apply to the board of county commissioners
for a conveyance 'or lease of such property,
WHEREAS, Section 125.38 further states that if it is determined by the
Board of County Commissioners that such property is required for such use and is
not needed for county purposes, the Board can allow the use of such property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The Board does hereby grant permission to use the facility at
Dreamland Park at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida, to the Kids
Krusade, Inc, for the pickup and delivery location for Life for Youth Camp.
2. The term of this use shall be for a three year period from May 1 to
August 31, with an option to extend the lease for two additional 11 year periods,
unless otherwise terminated,
3. The Board further determines that for the use of the facility, the Kids
Krusade, Inc, shall be at no charge.
4, The permission hereby granted to Kids Krusade, Inc. is contingent
upon the signing by the County and Kids Krusade, Inc, of a mutually acceptable
Facilities Use Agreement,
