RESOLUTION NO. 07-063
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE POLICY FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICE
BENEFIT UNITS ADMINISTRATIVE FEES
WHEREAS, in Resolution 01-080, the Board of County Commissioners established a
policy of administrative fees for Municipal Service Benefit Units (MSBUs); and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the administrative fees may be reduced
for projects which total five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) or more because of economies
of scale; and
WHEREAS, the Board should amend Resolution 01-080 to allow a different fee
schedule for projects which total five million dollars or more.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida, as follows:
1. The Board does hereby amend its policy regarding administrative fees for MSBUs.
2. The Administrative Fee for projects which total less than five million dollars
($5,000,000.00) shall be a minimum of four percent (4')'0) of the total capital costs,
or a minimum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) to reimburse the Transportation
Trust Fund, whichever is greater, together with a minimum of one percent (1')'0) of the
total capital costs, or a minimum of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) to
reimburse the General Fund, whichever is greater.
3. The Administrative Fee for projects which total five million dollars ($5,000,000.00)
or more shall be a minimum of three percent (3')'0) of the total capital costs to
reimburse the Transportation Trust Fund together with a minimum of one percent
(1 ')'0) of the total capital costs to reimburse the General Fund, whichever is greater.
4. Capital costs will include, but not be limited to, the following: construction costs,
engineering, design, surveying, permitting, soil testing and environmental costs.
5. Administrative fees shall be paid upon the completion of each MSBU project.
