RESOLUTION NO. 07-100
A RESOLUTION HONORING REVEREND TOBY
T. PHILPART WHO HAS BEEN CHOSEN FOR
HIS POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE TREASURE
COAST I AND REPRESENTING ST. LUCIE
COUNTY AS A YOUNG AFRICAN-AMERICAN
uMAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR
COMMUNITY"
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. Reverend Toby T. Philpart has ten years of involvement in
community development.
2. He has participated with a number of programs and
organizations which include: One Church One Child District Board
Member, Weed and Seed of St. Lucie County, St. Lucie County
Leadership Class of 2004, Fort pierce Police Chaplin, Fort pierce
Enterprise Zoning Board, Association Retarded Citizens (ARC) Board
Member, Volunteer Mentor for Garden City Elementary School,
Northport Middle School Advisory Council Member and NAACP Board
Member.
3. He has also served as 1st Vice President of the Florida
East Coast (FEC) District Congress of Christian Education, and
serves as Advisory Council Member for the Moderator of The FEC
Association of Missionary Baptist Churches.
4. Reverend Toby T. Philpart serves as the Youth Director
for the Northern Division of the FEC Ministers and Deacons Union
and, last but not least, he is the Pastor of the New Mt. Zion
Baptist Church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, that this Board does
hereby Honor Reverend Toby T. Philpart who has been chosen for his
positive impact on the Treasure Coast, and representing St. Lucie
County as a young African-American "MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR
COMMUNITY".
