RESOLUTION NO. 07 -1 77
A RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 98-160 FOR THE BUDGETS OF THE SHERIFF; THE
CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT; AND THE SUPERVISOR
OF ELECTIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. On July 14, 1998, the Board adopted Resolution No, 98-160 requiring the
Sheriff, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Supervisor of Elections to submit a tentative
budget for their respective offices by May 1 of each year beginning May 1, 1999; and,
2, Due to the uncertainty surrounding the issue of property tax reform in the
2007 Florida Legislative session, it is necessary to temporarily rescind Resolution No. 98-160
and require the Sheriff, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and the Supervisor of Elections to
submit their tentative budgets for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 by June 1, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St,
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby temporarily rescind Resolution No. 98-160 and require
the Sheriff, the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and the Supervisor of Elections to submit to the
Board of County Commissioners a tentative budget for their respective offices by June 1,
2007, for Fiscal Year 2007-2008,
2. This resolution is effective immediately upon adoption but will only affect the
tentative budgets for Fiscal Year 2007-2008. Resolution No. 98-160 will remain in effect for
Fiscal Year 2008-2009 and subsequent fiscal years.
3. The County Administrator is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
resolution to the St. Lucie County Sheriff, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Supervisor of
Elections,
