RESOLUTION NO. 07-226
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT VOLUNTARY NOISE
ABATEMENT PROGRAM, PROVIDING DIRECTION TO
THE AIRPORT DIRECTOR REGARDING DISTRIBUTION,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has
made the following determinations:

The County owns and operates the St. Lucie County International Airport (the

aircraft operations noise on residential areas surrounding the Airport and has adopted a
Voluntary Noise Abatement Program for the Airport.
3. In response to concerns raised by St. Lucie Village which lies east of the Airport
regarding noise generated by flight training operations, the Board directed the Airport staff to
meet with representatives of the Village, the Airport's Fixed Base Operators and flight schools to
discuss the matter.
4. Based upon the discussion at these meetings, representatives of the affected
groups reached a consensus on proposed amendments to the Airport's Voluntary Noise
Abatement Program, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A."
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
St. Lucie County, Florida:
I. This Board hereby approves and adopts the proposed amendments to the
Voluntary Noise Abatement Program for the St. Lucie County International Airport, attached
hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A."
2. This Board directs the Airport Director to post amended Voluntary Noise
Abatement Program at the Airport, provide copies to all Fixed Base Operators and flight schools
at the Airport, and take such other efforts to disseminate the amendments as necessary and
appropriate.
3. This resolution shall take effect upon July 24, 2007.
