RESOLUTION NO. 07-227
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AIRPORT LAYOUT
PLAN FOR THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE
AIRPORT LAYOUT PLAN TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION AND THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of S1. Lucie County, Florida, has
made the following determinations:
1. In August of 2002, the County completed the Airport Master Plan for the S1.
Lucie County International Airport, including the Airport Layout Plan which graphically
represents the existing and future developments identified in the Airport Master Plan, and
submitted it to the Federal Aviation Administration for review and approval.
2. Although the FAA approved the Airport Master Plan, the Federal Aviation
Administration required several revisions to the Airport Layout Plan.
In order to address development which occurred subsequent to the Master Plan approval
and mitigation areas identified in the interim, the Federal Aviation Administration agreed to fund
an update to the Airport Layout Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
S1. Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board hereby approves and adopts the Airport Layout Plan for the S1. Lucie
County International Airport, incorporated herein by reference.
2. This Board directs the County Administrator to submit the Airport Layout Plan to
the Federal Aviation Administration and the Florida Department of Transportation for review
and approval.
