A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MICHAEL S. McCARTY COJNTY A rnmNEY
FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS CHAIRMAN OF THJi
HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY OF ST. LUCItT. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Housing Finance Authority of St. Lucie County,
Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. On April 16, 1986, Michael S. McCarty resigned as
Chairman of the Housing Finance Authority of St. Lucie County,
Florida.
2. Mr. McCarty, a native of Florida, has been a resident of
St. Lucie County for 39 years.
He is a graduate of the
University of Florida Holland Law Center, a member of The Florida
Bar, a member of the st. Lucie County Conservation Alliance, a
member of Kiwanis Club, a member of the Treasure Coast Gator
Club, past president of the Indian River Community Mental Health
Center, past chairman of the Referendum Committee to Limit Height
and Density on Hutchinson Island, former member of the St. Lucie
County Expressway Author i ty, and former member of the Treasure
Coast Jaycees.
3. Mr. McCarty has served as Chairman of the Housing
Finance Authority of st. Lucie County since his appointment by
the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County on January
3, 1983.

4. In Mr. McCarty's tenure as Chairman of the Housing
Finance Authority of St. Lucie County, the Authority has
authorized several bond issues which have provided funds for
loans for single family homes in St. Lucie County at an interest
rate affordable to those who otherwise might have been prevented
from obtaining a single family home.
5. In over three years as Chairman of the Housing Financing
Authori ty, Mr. McCarty has worked hard and diligently and has
rendered a valuable service to the people of St. Lucie County.
He is highly respected by his colleagues for his honesty and
integrity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in a meeting asembled this
13th day of May, 1986, that the Housing Finance Authority of St.
Lucie County, Florida, does hereby commend Michael S. McCarty for
his efficient and competent service as Chairman of the Housing
Finance Authority of St. Lucie County and does hereby express its
sincere appreciation for a job well done.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,
that a copy of this resolution
shall be presented to Mr. McCarty as a token of this Authority's
appreciation.
