RESOLUTION NO. 08-261
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE
FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL
RATES AND FEES FOR THE HAVERT L.
FENN CENTER; AND AUTHORI ZING THE
COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO AMEND THE
RATES AND FEES AS NEEDED
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida has made the following determinations:
1. The Havert L. Fenn Center is scheduled to open in
September, 2008, and it is necessary for rates and fees for
facilities, equipment and support personnel to be established prior
to its opening.
2. Over the past several months staff has been gathering
data from other event venue.s including civic/community centers
located in St. Lucie County.
3. The rates and fees will attract quality programs and
events to the Havert L. Fenn Center, while still being affordable
for local groups and organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby establish the Havert L. Fenn
Center Rates & Fee Schedule incorporated herein and made a part
hereof.
2. The County Administrator is hereby authorized to amend
the rates and fees as needed.
3. This resolution, along with the incorporated schedules,

shall take effect on August 19, 2008.
After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as
follows:

NOTE: Rates include folding chairs. no, tables and ordinary utilities. Events requiring extraordinary
utilities will be charged for utilities as determined by'the Facility Administrator and/ordesighee and
shall be based upon rates charged by FPUA. Room rental fees include staff and are for events up to
500 people with no alcohol during normal hours of operation. Staffing for exclusive use by the renter
and/or event is not included in room rental fees. Facility reservations for over 500 people and events
serving or selling alcohol may require additional staffihg charges which shall be determined by the
Facility Administrator and/or designee. Events that serve alcohol will be required to have at least one
law enforcement officer from the time the event starts until a half-hour after the event ends. The
Facility Administrator and or designee shall determine if additional law enforcement officers are
required.
* Criteria for Treasure Coast Sports Commission Events to receive 25% discount, event must produce
minimum of $300,000 in economic impact to SLC and/or 200 room nights as verified by TCSC policies
and procedures.
