WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the Mosquito Control District Board budget, certain funds not anticipated at the time of adoption of the budget have become available from the American Sportfishing Association - Fish America Foundation in the form of a U.S. Department of Commerce - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) grant in the amount of $45,000.00. The funding is to restore habitat for marine and anadromous fish species for three project sites: John Brooks Park, Queens Island Park, and Avalon State Park. WHEREAS, Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt a resolution to appropriate and expend such funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mosquito Control District Board of St. Lucie County, Florida, in meeting assembled this 9th day of September, 2008, pursuant to Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, that such funds are hereby appropriated for the fiscal year 2007-2008, and the County's budget is hereby amended as follows: REVENUE 145122-6230-331393-310085 National Oceanic & Atmos.
