RESOLUTION NO. 08-287
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, St. Lucie County recognizes the need to establish local policy guidelines for their
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Program; and,
WHEREAS, the County has developed the "St. Lucie County CDBG Housing Assistance Plan"
that conforms to the application requirements for the CDBG Housing Program in accordance with Rule
9BA3, Florida Administrative Code, which governs the CDBG program; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the County, to the greatest extent feasible, to improve the housing
standards for the very low and low-to-moderate income residents of the County through the use of CDBG
and other County housing programs.
NOW, THEREFORE,"BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida, as follows:
1. The Board hereby adopts the "St. Lucie County CDBG Local Housing Assistance Plan"
for the Community Development Block Grant Program, incorporated herein by reference.
2. The County Administrator and/or his designee is hereby authorized to coordinate the
implementation of the St. Lucie County Local Housing Assistance Plan.
3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
