A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FLORIDA EAST COAST
RAILROAD AND FLORDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION GRANTS (#423978-1-57-01 & #423979-
1-57-01) FOR RAILROAD REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENTS -
GRADE CROSSING AND GRADE CONTROL DEVICES AT
MIDW AY ROAD & W ALTON ROAD AND AUTHORIZING THE
CHAIRPERSON TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM
AND CORRECTNESS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has
made the following determinations:
1. The Florida East Coast Railroad and Florida Department of
Transportation have awarded the County funding for Grade Crossing and
Grade Control Devices at Midway Road & Walton Road (#423978-1-57-01 &
#423979-1-57-01).
2. The Board should authorize and approve execution of the
Railroad Reimbursement Agreement with the Florida East Coast Railroad and
Florida Department of Transportation for the above-referenced project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The Board hereby accepts and approves the Railroad
Reimbursement Agreements with the Florida East Coast Railroad and Florida
Department of Transportation (#423978-1-57-01 & #423979-1-57-01) to
provide funding for Grade Crossing and Grade Control Devices at Midway
Road & Walton Road.
2. The Board hereby authorizes and Chairperson to execute the
above-referenced agreement and further authorizes the County Attorney to
execute the agreement by approving it as to form and correctness.
