A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
FISCAL YEAR 2008 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
recognizes the need to amend the FY 2008 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Housing Program which was adopted on September 23, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Community Affairs, Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) Section, has confirmed that the proposed amendments comply with the
CDBG Housing Program;
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the County, to the greatest extent feasible, to provide as
much flexibility as possible in the administration of their CDBG Housing Program so that
improvements to the housing standards for the very low and low-to-moderate income residents
of the County may be achieved through the use of CDBG and other County housing programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The Board hereby adopts "Amendment I to the St. Lucie County FY 2008 Local
Housing Assistance Plan" for the CDBG Program, incorporated herein by reference.
2. The Board authorizes the County Administrator or her designee to coordinate the
implementation of Amendment I.
3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
