A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF SECTION
5311 GRANT APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
AND ASSURANCES TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION; ACCEPTING THE GRANT AWARD IF
APPROVED; AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF VEHICLES
AND/OR EQUIPMENT AND/OR EXPENDITURE OF GRANT
FUNDS PURSUANT TO THE GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, is
authorized to apply for and accept grants and make purchases and expend funds pursuant to
grant award from the Florida Department of Transportation as authorized by Chapter 341, Florida
Statutes, and the Federal Transit Administration Act of 1964, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
1. This resolution applies to a Federal Program under U.S.C. Section 5311.
2. The submission of a Section 5311 grant application, supporting documents and
assurances to the Florida Department of Transportation is approved.
3. This Board authorizes the Chairman and/or the County Administrator, as
appropriate under County purchasing policies and procedures, to execute all necessary
documents related to this matter subject to the review and approval of the County Attorney as to
legal form and correctness.
4. This resolution shall take effect on the date of adoption.
