WHEREAS, GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION on the 1st day of

February, 1961, requestp.d in writing that the BOard of County

Commissioners of St, Lucie County, Florida, close, vacate and
abandon that portion of a public road hereinafter described,
and renounce and disclaim any right of St. Lucie County and the
public in and to the lands lying within that portion of said road
right-af-way in St. Lucie CountY1 Florida, described as follows,
to-wit:
All of Merwip_ Road, SO feet in width, in the swt of
Section 11, Township 37 South, Range 40 East, as
recorded in the Board of County Commission Minute
Book 5, page 135. .
'N1IEREA.S, said Board of County Commissioners held a public
hearing on said request on the 8th day of March, 1961, after
first publishing a notice of said hearing in the Ft. Pierce News
Tribune on the 17th day of February, 1961, said date being more than
two weeks prior to the day of said hearing, and
WHEREAS, at said punlic hearing there were no objections to
closing, vacating and abandoning said road and renouncing and dis-
claiming any right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the
lands lying within said right-of-way, and in the ~pinion of the
Board of County Commissioners, it is to the best inte;-~5t of the
public to close, vacate and abandon said road and disclaim and re-
nounce any right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the
lands lying within said right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Comm-
issioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, in meeting assembled this
8th day of ~arch, 1961, as follows:
1. That portion of a public road in St. Lucie Co~nty,
florida, described as follows'
