Poresl 1: That certain lease from The Atchison, Topeka and Saab Fe Railway Company. a
Kansas corporation (ace "Lessor"). to The Railways Ice Company. a Delaware corporation (as
"Lessee"), dated August 20, 1945, damsing and leasing. the folbwing described preoniaes situate at or
near Argentine, County of Wyandotte, Sbte of Kansas:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of Section 19, Town-
ship 11 South, Range 25 East, Wyandotte County, Kansas, described as follows
Beginning at a point 450 feet northerly of, measured at right angle to the center line ~£ the
westbound passayger main track of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company at
Mile Post S plus 240 feet; thence westerly parallel with said center line 733 feet to the east line
of Carlisle Road, thence northerly along said east line of Carlisle Road 340 feet, thence easterly
parallel with the center line of. aforesaid main track 483 feet to a point 12 feet westerly of sail
normally distant from the center Line of said Railway Company's track No. 585, thence south-
easterly parallel with said center lint of trade No. 585 to point of beginning containing 180,695
square feet to be used for Ice Plant and appurtenant buildings.
Also beginning at a point 382 feet northerly of measured at right angle to the aforesaid west-
bound passenger main track at Mile Pont 5 plus 1895 feet; thence westerly parallel with said canter
line 2721 feet, thence northerly at right angle 17 feet, thence easterly at right angle 2691 feet,
thence masterly along a curve ~ the right having a radius of 754 fed for a distance of 30 feet,
thence southerly 16 feet b point of beginning, containing '16„242. square fed to be used for icing
platform.
Also the space occupied by a 6 feet by 6 feet reinforced concrete box tunnel 60 feet 10 inches
in length to be used for conveying ice from Ice Plant to idng platform of The Railways Ice
Company, crossing under westbound :refight main track and side tracks numbered 321, 402 and
403 of The Atchison, Topeka sad Saab Fe Railway Company. the center line of said tunnel
crossing the emtex line of said track at right angle opposite Mile Post 5 plus 2850 feet.
Also, subject to the rights sad easm>enb therdn e~ooepled sad reserved and upon the lama
and conditions therein sd forth, the right and permission to maintain
. (a) an overhead walk-way 2.9 feet wide and 59.6 feet long with a 4 feet railing on both sides
of walls-way to be used for walking between Ice Plant sad icing platform of The Railways Ice
Company, crossing over westbound freight main track and side tracks numbered 321, 402 and
403 of The Atdyiaon, Topeka and Saab Fe Ray7way Company. the center line of said walk-way
crossing the center Wye of :aid tracks at right angle opposite M8e Post 5 plaa 2841 fed sad having
a minimum overhad ckaranoe of 22 feet above top of rail of acid track, and
(b) 68 feet of underground tranamisaion line, 3 phase, 60 cycle 220 volts laid is conduit,
crossing under acid Railway Company's westbound freight main track and aids tracks numbered
403, 321 and 402 at right angles at Mde Post S plus 3055 feet. Clearance under base of rx0 3.5 fed.
