This Assignment of Lease made this 29th day-of December, A.D,
1961, by and between FORT PIERCE GOLF pggOCIATION, a Florida cor-
poration, Assignor, and the CITY~4F 'FORT PIERCE, a municipal cor•
poration existing under the Laws of the State of Florida, Assignee
W I T N E S S E T H
That for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar (~1.
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and-for other good
and valuable considerations, the Assignor does hereby assign and
transfer unto the Assignee that certain lease made and entered
into on the lst day of June, A. D. 1939, between CIARA L. GATES,
C, BERNARD GATES and MABEL G. CRIG3CARD, as Lessors and FORT PIERC
GOLF ASSOCIATION, as Lessee, said Lease being recorded in Deed
Book 178, at page 509, in the Public Records of St. Lucie County,
Florida, on the following described property:
Beginning at a point 670 feet North of the SW corner
of Government Lot 2, Section 15, Township 35 South, Range
40 East on the West line of said lot; thence runni East
24.80 chains more or less to the West line of.the right~of-
way of the Florida East Coast Railway; thence meander said
right-of••way to the North line of said Lot 2; thence running
West 21.78 chains more or less to the Northwest corner of
said Lot 2; thence running 3buth 650 feet to point of be«
ginning, containing 23 acres more or less; the land describe
being the North 650 feet West of the Railway of said
Government Lot 2; EXCEPTING, however, the Lands previously
conveyed by the Lessors hereof to the Florida East Coast
Railway Company as per deed book 70, at page 326, Public
Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Assignor has caused these presents to
