RESOLUTION
"W~iEREr1S, FORT PIERCE FARMS DRAINAGE DLSTRICT is
a public corporation of the 5tate of Florida for the prirnary purpose
of draining and reclaiming wet and overflowed lands to the end thaY
the same rnight be used for agricultural purpases, and,
WH~REA~, in connection with the executian of its Plan of
Reclamation the District has acquired extensive right of way for the
construction of ditches, canals and the rnaintenance thereof, and, has
constructed said ditches and canals, and,
WHEREAS, since the creation of said District in the year 1915,
it has been a common practice for landowners in the District to make
use of the Districtts canal berms and spoil banks for the purpose of
ingress and egress to their respective Iands frarn publi~ roads, and,
WHEREAS, such use of the District's canal berms and spoil
banks is consistent with the purposes of the District so long as the
same does not interfer. e with the a~eration, maintenance and improve-
ment of t~ie I?istrict's canals, ditches and other drainage facilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~D by the Board of Super-
visors of Fort Pierce Farms Drainage District, in session duly assembled,
that the landowners of said District, their succes~ors, assigns, agents
and servants, in common with said District and other landowners be,
and they are hereby granted ±he permission and right to freely use the
said District's canal berms and spoil banks for ingress and egress from
~ i and to their respective lands, and the further right to rnaintain a roadway

~ therevn, or otherwise to repair said way as there shall be o~.casion,
provided, however, no work oth~r than ordinary main~enance shail be
done without a written permit therefor from said District, and provided
