JOI~iSTON, his wife, on the 27 th day of April, 1966, requeated in writing that the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, close, vacate and abandon that portion of a public road hereinafter described and renounce and disclaim any ~ right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the lands lying within that portion of said road right of way in St. Lucie County, ~ Florida, described as follows: ~ ~.'he North 15 feet and the South 15 feet of that portion of Olive Avenue that lies between 40th Street and 41st Street according to the plat of Pinehurst as recorded in Plat Book 6, at Page 9, of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida. W~REAS, said Board of County Commissioners held a pubZic hearing on said request on the 24th day of May, 1966, after first publishing a notice of said hearing in The News Tribune, Fort Pierce, , Florida, on the 9th day of May, 196~, said date being more than two . ~ weeks prior to the daf of said hearing, and ~ _ ~ WH$R$AS, at said public hearing there were no objections to ~ closing, vacating and abandoning said road and renouncing and dis- claiming any right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the landa lying within said right of way, and in the opinion of the Board of County Co~mmissioners, it is to the best interest of the public to close, vacate and abandon said road and diaclaim and re- nounce any right of St. Lucie County and the public in and to the lands lying within said right of way.
