WHEREI.S, the City af Fort Pierce has a certain alley-way or
thoroughfare as hereinafter described, which is not needed for alley-
way or thoroughfare purposes but which is needed for the location
and maintenance of any and all utilities by the City of Fort Pierce,
both now existing and which may be installed in the future.

Section 1. From and after the eff ective date of t his Ordinance,
that portion of that certain 20 f~ot alley-way lying South of Georgia
~venue and East of Lots 12, 13, and 14. of Blcok $ of Pinewood Sub-
division and West of Lots 9, 10, and 11, of Block $ of Pinewood Sub-

~ division, vrithin the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, as per plat theraof
on file in the public records of St. Lucie County, Florida, be and the
same is hereby vacated and abandoned as a public alley or thorough-
fare, saving and reserving unto the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, an
easacent for all utility purposes over the entire tract, said easement
includa.ng but not' being limited to installation and maintenanoe of
poles, electric transmission lines, natural gas lines, w ater lines,
sevrer lines and anp or all utilities whatsoever, provided however, `
~ that the Stephen N. Gladwin Post N~. 40, :.merican Legion, convey a
perpetual easement unto the City for all lawful purposes, including
g= location of utilities and for purposes of ingress and egress, over the

Section 2. This 4rdinance shall take effect immediately upon
