AN ORDINANCC VAGATING AND ABANDONING A PORTI~ON OF 90VIH 18TH

ROAD; AND PROVIDING FOR THS ~FFBCTIVS DATfi 1~R00F.
G~ISR$AS, the Right-of-Way for that postion of South 18th Street
lying between Tuclaer Court and Okeechobee Road is approximately
9eventy-five (75~) feet in width; and
WHSREAS, the City Right-4f-Way Yequirements can be met by Right-
Of Way Sixty (60~) feet in width; and
WHEREAS, the decrease in width can be accomplished by abandoning
a portion of the Easterly Fi~teen (15~) feet of the existing Right-
Of -Way ~ .
NOW ~ THERfiFORE ~ BS IT ORDAINe'sD BY TI-~ PEOPLE OF THE CI1Y OF FORT
PIERCE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That from and after the effective da~e of this
Ordinance ~ that portion of the South 18th Street Right-0f-Way lying
between Tucker Court and Okeechobee Road in the City of Fort Pierce~
Florida?, described as follaws:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Bloak 1 of TUCKER
TERRACE Si1BDIVISIGN, a subdivision in the SE~ of the S~r14
of Section 9, Township 35 South: Range 40 East, as per Plat
thereof in Plat 3ook 4 at Page 54 of the Fublic Records of
St. Lucie County~ Florida~ thence run Southerly along the
arc of a curve having a radius of 80 feet to a point of
intersection with the Northeasterly Right-Of-Wfay line of
South 18th Street a distance of 26.4 feet more or less;
thence Southeasterly along said I•lortheasterly Right-4f-Way
~ line to a point of intersection with the North Right-0f-Way
line of Okeechobee Road 131.45 feet~ thence Southwesterly dlong
~ said I~lorth Right-of-Way line of Okeechobee Road a distance
of 6.05 feet more or less to a point; thence Northwesterly
along the arc of a curve having a radius of 20.5 feet to a
point 60 feet Easterly and perpendicular to the West Right-
Of-t~Tay line of South 18th Street a distance of ~6.4 feet
more or less to a point; thenoe Northerly along the arc of
a curve having a radius of 120 feet a distance of 65.7 feet
more or less to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
