PROMISSORY NOTE
$100, 000. 00 November 20, 1968
For value received, the undersigned pramise to pay, in lawful money of the
United States of America, to the order of PEERLFSS INVESTMENT COMPANY, at
5454 South Shore Drive, Chicago, Illinois, the principal sum ~~f ONB HUNDRED
THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS with interest at th~e rate of ten per cent (10~,
per annum from date hereaf, payable quarterly. The eaid principal shall be payatale
in quarterly installments af ~5, 000. 00 commencing on the ~th day of February, 1969
and continuing quarterly until February Z0, 1970, at which time the said principal
quarterly installments ehall increase to $10, 000. 00 and shal~ *_~ereafter continue
quarterly until the principal and interest are fully paid.
In case eaid installments, or any of them are not paid within fifteen (15) days
after tt~e same become due, the whole of said principal swn shall forthwith become
due and payable at the option of the holder of this note. Payments shall be applied .
first to interest and balance to principal, and interest shall he calculated on the balance
remaining from time to time unpaid.
A penalty of two per cent (2~ shall be charged hereunder for prepayment of the
principal in its entirety. ~
Now, should it become necessary to collect this note through an attorney, each '
maker, security or endorser on this note, hereby agrees to pay aIl costs of such
collection, including a reasonable attorney's fee. The drawers and endorsers severally
waive presentment for paymeat, protest and notice a~ protest for non-payment of this
note, and consent that time of payment may be extended without notice thereof.
