the date fi~xed for redeinption, all ou the conditious and in the
manner provided in the Indenture.
This bond is transferable by deliver3~ nuless registered as to
principal in the o~vner's name npon books of the Company to be
kept for that pnrpose at the office or agencp of the Company in
the City of Chicago, Illinois, snch registration being noted hereon.
After snch registration no transfer of this bond shall be valid
unless made on said books by the registered owner Lereof in
person, or by attorney dnly authorized therefor, and similarly
noted hsreon;~ bnt this bond may be discharged from registry by
being in like manner transferred to bearer, ~vherenpon transfer-
abilitp by delivery shall be restored; and this bonci may again
and from time to time be registered or transferred to bearer as
before. Snch registration, ho~vever, shall not affect the negoti-
abilitp of ~he annezed conpons, which shall always be transferable
by deliverp and be papable to bearer, and payment to the bearer
thereof shall fully discharge the Company in respect of the in-
terest therein mentioned, whether or not this bond be registered
as to principal and ~shether or not any such coupons be overdue.
In case an event of default, as defined in the Indentnre, occurs,
the principal of this bond may become or map be declared dne ~
and payable prior to the stated matnrity hereof in the manner
; and with the effect and subject to the eonditions provided in the
~ Indentnre.

; No reconrse shall be had for the paymeut of the principal of
~ or the interest on this bond, or of any claim based hereon or in
; respect hereof or of the Indenture, against any incorporator,
I stockholder, officer or director of the Company, or of anp sneces-
~ sor company, wbether by virtne of any statnte or rule of law or
~ by the enforcement of any assessment or penalty or otherwise, all
~ snch liabilitp being by the acceptance hereof egpressly waived
~ and released and being also waived and released by the terms of
~ the Indenture.
~ ~ This bond shall not be valid nor become obligatory for anp pnr-
' pose nntil it shall have been authenticated by the execntion o~ the
~ certificate hereon endorsed b~ the Trustee under the Indenture.
