CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL
FOR ESTABLISHIdENT OF BUL1QiEAD LINfi

WHEREAS, Chapter 57-362, Laws of Florida, Florida Statutes
253.122, as amended by Chapter 67~393, Laws of Florida, authorizes
local authorities to locate and fix bulkhead lines in the tidal
waters within their jurisdictional limits for the purpose of
controlling dredging and filling of submerged sovereignty lands
in Y~he interest of the public; and
WI~REAS, the State of Florida Board of Trustees of the
Internal Improvement Trust P'und, in whom title to sovereign lands
and waters is vested for the protection of the public interest,
is charged with approving or rejecting bulkhead lines established
locally; and
WHEREAS, the City Commiasion of the City of Fort Pierce
by Ordinance No. F-159 adopted on December 10, 1968, did adopt
and submit to the State of Florida Board of Trustees of the ~
Internal Improvement Trust Fund for approval a bulkhead line
11,200 feet in length along the north side of the South Causeway
and the north side of the South Beach, and relocated and fixed
a bulkhead line on the southwest side of the South Causeway in
Section 2, Township 35 South, Range 40 East, said bulkhead line
being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Section
Township 35 South, Range 40 East, St. Lucie County
Florida, Run thence East 2240 feet; thence North 720
~ Feet, thence N-70°58'-30" E. 1200'; thence S. 19°
~ O1'30" E, 85'; thence N.70°16'00" E. 2009.5' to a
~ cross on the deck at the East end of the existing
~ South Bridge across the Indian River; thence run
~ S. 20°50'00" E. 560' along the existing Bulkhead
~ line to a point, said point being 774' North of the
~ Southwest C~rner of an existing bulkhead on the
` Westerly side of the City of Fort Pierce Sewage
~ Treatment Plant and the POINT OF BEGINNING: From
~ o said POB run thence N34°30' West 500'; thence run
~ ` i m N 12°50'West 77.4' to a point on the center line
Q of existing South Bridge, said point being 117'
Z~ m~re or less Westerly of a cross on the deck at the
