OOUNTY OF ST. LUCIE ~
Re: Lots 12. 17 and ~8, Block A of Edgewood ~'ark, as per plat
thereof recorded in Plat Book 4, page 72, public records of ~
St. Lucie County, Florida.
BEFORE ME, the undersigned suthority, this day personally
appeared J. M. Sample, Esquire, who upon ~Yrst being duly sworn did depose
and say:
~ 1. That 6e has been an attorney in St. Lucie County, Florida, for
mo~e than 30 years _last passed; and that as such he was acquainted with
Cai~l E. Hantman, Joseph Hantman and Lucy Ruth Hantman.
2. That on or about March 6, iS52, he professionally represented
Joseph Hantman, as guardian for Carl E. Hantman, in Chancery Case No. ~
3678-E which sough~t foreclosure of that certain mortgage dated May 15, 1850, ~
recorded in Mortgage Book 80, page 525, from Jo6rr McMillan and Adella
McMillan, his vvife, and C. W. Weatherspoon, to Carl E. Hantman.
3. That approgimately two months prior to the filing of the bill of
~ complaint in said fore~losure action, tl~is affiant further states that he prepared
~

~ an asaignment of the aforementioned mortgage from Carl E. Hantman to Lucy
Ruth Hantman, which said mortgage assigninent was dated January 5, 1952, and
recorded in Assignment of Mortgage Book 8, page 527, public records of
St. Lucie County, ~Florida; that said assignment of mortgage was to collaterall~
secure a debt then and there owed by Carl E. Hantman to Lucy Ruth Hantman.
4: That of this affiant's personal knowledge, ~the promissory note _
secured by the mortgage collaterally assigned was delivered to Lucy Ruth
Hantman unendorsed by Carl E. Hantman. ~

promissory note waa redelivered by Lucy Ruth Hantman to Joseph Hantman,
