T~is bond is transferable by the registened owner hereof, in person
or by duly authorized attorney, upon books of the Company to be
kept for that purpose at the office or agency of the Company in the
City of Clucago, Illinois, upon sun~ender thereof at said office for
cancellation and upon present~tion of a written instrument of #ransfer
duly ezecuted, and thereupon the Campany s6a11 issue in the name
of the transferee or transferees, and the Trustee shaIl authenticate
and deliver, a new registered bond or bonds, of ]ike forn~ and in an
autharized denomination or in authorized deno~inations and of the
same series, for the same aggregate principal~ amount; bonds of
- this series upon surrender tLereof at said offioe may be exchanged
for the same aggregate principal amount of bonds of this series of
another authorized denomination or other authorized denominations; _
aIl upan payment of the chazges, if any, and subject to the terms
and oonditions specified in the Indenture.
T~e Company and the Tn~stee may treat t6e registered owner of
this bond as the absolute owner hereof for all purposes.
In c~se an event of default, as d~fnned in ths Indenture, oocurs,
the prlncipal of this bond may become a~ may be declared due and
PaY~le prior to the stated maturity hereof in the manner aad with
the effect and subject to the oonditions pravided in the Indeuture.
No reoourse sLall be had for tbe paym~nt of the ~p~incipal of or the
~interest on this bond, a~ for any claim based hereon or in respect
hereof or of the Indeature, against any incorporator, stodcbolder,
; offic~r or director of the Company, or of any successor company,
whether by virdie of any sta#ufie or rule of law or by the enforcement
of any assessment or penalty aar otherwise, all suc1~ liability being by
the aa:eptance hereof eipressly waived and relea.sed and being also
waived and released by the terms of the Indenture.
