PROCI,I~MI~TION OF EMERGENCY ~4~~2
~ I, Dennis 8. Summerlin, Mayor of the City of Fort Pierce,
Florida, and J. R. Norvell, Sheriff of Saint Lucie County, Florida,
by virtue of the power vested in the said offices, do hereby declare
and determine that due to mob action and civil disobedien~e, a state
l
of emergency continues to exist within the City of Fort Pierce and
Saint Lucie County.
And we do hereby order and direct the following emergency
regulations to continue in effect, as follows:
1. A curfew is hereby ordered from 9:00 o'clock P. M. to
5:00 o'clock A. M. for any person in the entire City of Fort Pierce
and Saint Lucie County, and all persons other than law enforcement
officers and personnel, firemen, physicians, nurses and ambulance
operators performing medical services, and utility personnel main-
taining essential public services, and other than persons engaged
in lawful employment, shall remain off the streets and away from pub-
lic places during the period of said curfew.
2. The following businesses are hereby ordered closed
during the hours as prescribed as follows:

' ~ to 1:00 o'clock P. M., Monday, February 22, 1971, ;

~~z~ ~ d and cereal malt beverages shall cease the sale and

THIS PROCI.AMATION shall be effective immediately and shall `
