Norvell, Sheriff of Saint Lucie County, Rlorida, by virtus of the power vested in the said offices, do hereby declare and ; ~ determine that due to mob action and civil disobedience, a state of emergency continues to exist within the City of F'ort Pierce and Saint Lucie County. And we do hereby order and direct the following emergency regulations to continue in effect, as follows: 1. A cuYfew is heYeby ordered from 9:00 o'clock P.M. to 5:00 o'clock A.M. for any person in the entire City of Rort Pierce and Saint Lucie County, other than law enforcement officers and personnel, firemen, physicians, nurses and ambulance operators performing medical services, and utility personnel maintaining essential public services, and other than persons engaged in lawful employment, shall remain off the streets and away from public places during the period of said curfew. 2. The following businesses are hereby ordered closed during the hours as prescribed as follows: ~ {a) Taverns - F'rom 1:00 o'clock P.M., Monday, February 22, ~ ~ ~ 1971, to 1:00 P.M., Tue$day, February 23, 19'71 (24 hour ~ i r ~ PeYiod). ~ ~ ~ (b) Retail and wholesale liquor establishments - From ~ a ~ 1:00 o'clock P.M., Monday, February 22, 1971, to ~ 1:00 o'clock P.M. Tuesda y, February 23, 1971 (24 hour ~ ~ period). x ~ ~ (c) All other business establishments selling beers, wines, ~ ~ and cereal malt beverages shall cease the sale and - secure said intoxicants between the hours of 1:00 o'clock x ~ P.M., Monday, February 22, 1971, to 1:00 o'clock P.M. ~ ~ Tuesday, February 23, 1971 (24 hour period) `i ~ .
