Each installment first shall be applied in payment of the interest and then on the unpaid balanoe of the principal
sum. If default is made in the payment of any installment when due, then at the option of the holder, and with-

~ or more installments at any instaltment maturity date, but ihis shall not extend the time of maturity of any sub-
sequent installment. Neither forebearance, nor aooeptance by the holder hereof after any default in any payment
hereon shall be deemed extension.
Each maker, surety and erxlorser hereof, joiMly and severally, waives demand, presentmeM, protest and notice of
protest for non-payment and fu~ther agrees to any extension of time of paymeM, either before or after maturity,
without notice to any of us; and to pay all oosts of collection, including a reasonable attorney's fee in the event
of any default hereunder, and hereby severally waives all benefit of homestead and exemption under the oonstitu-
tion and laws of each State of the United States, as against this obligation or any extension or renewal hereof.
