MORTGAGE MODIFICATION
WHEREAS, ISAIAH LUCAS and HELEN M. LUCAS. his wife, as mortgagors,
hereinafter referred to as First Party, did on May 15, ~973 make, execute and
deliver a certain mortgage deed to Security Federai Sav+ngs and Loan Association
of tndian River County, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of
the United States of America, as mortgagee, which mortgage was recorded in
Official Record Book 214, page lOig, Public Records of St. lucie County,
Florida, and which mortgage deed encumbered a certain tract of land in St.
Lucie County, Florida, described as follows:
Lots Twenty-one (21) and Twenty-two (22), Block Two (2),
of PROSPERITY PARK, a subdivision of the City of Ft. Pierce,
Florida, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 7, page 55, Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida.
as security for an original principal debt of 59,000.00 evidenced by~a •
promissory note, which promissory note was set out in said mortgage deed; and
WHEREAS, said mortgage and note provides for payment of principal
and interest at the rate of 8.25$ per annum in equal monthiy instal)ments of
$$7•32 each, and
WHEREAS, First Party and Security Federal Savings and Loan Associatio~
of Indian River County have agreed to amend and modify said note and mortgage
so as to provide for an increase of interest due thereunder to 9.0$ per annum
and an increase of the rtanthly payments due thereunder to $91.29 per month,

i WHEREAS, as of June l, 1973, the principal balance due under the

F said note and mortgage was $9,000.00, and
6 NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and the mutual

~ cove~ants and promises herein made, the First Party and Security federal

~ Savings and Loan Association of Indian River County hereby agree as follows:

= 1. That the mortgage deed dated May 15, 1973 and recorded in
; Official Record Book 214, page 1019, Public Records of St. Lucie County,

= Florida, and the note secured thereby, which note and mortgage had a principal

' balance remaining unpaid in the amount of $9,000.00 on June l, 1973, shall be

~ and are hereby modified and amended so as to provide for interest from
