A RESOLUTION REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF THE FEE FOR
DISPOSAL OF CLASS III CONSTRUCTION AND
DEMOLITION DEBRIS, BUILDING MATERIALS AND
PACKAGING MATERIALS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florid~
"Board"), has made the following determinations:
1. On May 25, 1999, pursuant to Resolution No. 99-164the Board re
the amount of the fee for disposal of Class III Construction and Demolition Debri,'
"C&D Tipping Fee") and directed staff to have the consulting engineers conduct
study comprising of Construction and Demolition debris (C&D), Class I garbag~
yard waste.
2. Phase I of the rate study was the review of C&D material,
3. The Board has reviewed the results of the study and determined to rE
the amount of the tipping fee for C&D material in accordance with the study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissi~
of St. Lucie County, Florida the fees for use of the St. Lucie County Glades
Landfill shall be as follows:
1. Minimum fees for disposal of all solid waste,
a. Automobiles and utility vehicles, up to 165 lb. load:

Vans, trucks, including open bed pick-up trucks, trailers,
300 lbs. load:

2. Tonnage rates, applicable to all loads in excess of the minimums set
in paragraph 1.
Class I - all solid waste except for yard waste and t

federal, state or local regulation:

4. Miscellaneous Fees.
Misc. Weight determination: 92.50 per weighing
Disposal of solid waste generated outside of St. Lucie County shall requi~
approval of the Solid Waste Manager or his designee and shall be charged at twi¢
stated fee.
B. Municipalities and permitted operators shall pay the fees specifi
Section A of this resolution monthly following receipt of collection charges.
C. All other users of the Landfill shall pay the fee specified in Sectior
this resolution upon disposal of the material at the St. Lucie County Landfill unle.,

D. The revised rates set out in this resolution shall take effect July 1, 001.
