AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF
~ THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE THE
ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY OF OKEECHOBEE ROAD (STATE ROAD
70) T4 THE CENTERLINE OF KINGS HIGHWAY (STATE .
ROAD 713); DIRECTING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY TAX
ASSESSOR AND THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR
TD PLACE SAID PROPERTY ON THE ASSESSMENT AIdD COL-
LECTION ROLLS; DIRECTING PUBLICATION AND POSTING
OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR -
PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE,IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The Territorial Limits of the City of Fort Pierce,
Florida, be, and they are hereby extended to annex to the said City
the following described lands, to-wit:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the ~ section line
of Section 17s Township 35 South, Range 40 East
(center line of South 33rd Street) and the exten-
~ sion of the South right-of-way line of Okeechobee
Road (State Road 70), thence run Westerly along
said South right-of-way line of State Road 70 to _
~ the centerline of Kings Highway (State P.oad 713),,
; thence run Northerly along said centerline to its
~ intersection w~th the extension of the North right-
( of-way line of State Road 70, thence run Easterly
~ along said North right-of-way line of State Road .
~ 70, to the 4 section line of Section 17, Township
; 35 South, Range 40 East, (centerline of South 33rd
~ Street). Thence run South along said ~ section
~ ~
~ line to the POINT OF BEGIN*?ZNG.

~ SECTION 2. That the Tax Assessor of St. Lucie Coun~y and the Tax
~
~
~
~ Collector of St. Lucie County are directed to place upon and add to the
~ Assessment and Collection Rolls the lands described in Section 1 hereof
~
~ for the year 1973 and subsequent years.

~ SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance to be
~
~ published once a week for four consecutive weeks in the News Tribune
~y, in Fort Pierce, Florida and to pos~t three copies of this Ordinance in

~ a conspicuous place in the City Hall in the City of Fort Pierce and

three copies in a conspicuous place on the tract ]tereinbefore described,
~j said posting to be for also four (4) consecutive weeks.

SECTION 4. Al1 Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
~ SECTIOPI S. This Ordinance shall be and become effective at the
