Section 100 - Identification and Legality
Article 101. `This planning body shall officially be known as ;

the REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL IN FORT PIERCE AND ST. LUCIE COUNTY. _

~ Article 102. The sphere of interest of this Planning Council.~ ~

shall be St. Lucie County, Florida and the municipalities therein. #

Article 103. The authority under which this Council is or- ~
~
ganized shall be recognized to be the Agreement on the part of the
City of Fort Pierce, the City of Port St. Lucie, the Town of St.
Lucie Village, and the County of St. Lucie, Florida, pursuant to ;
law . - ~

Article 104, The Council shall be recognized as being advisory ~
only, non-profit, non-sectarian, and of a civic nature and not
affiliated with any poli~ical party or other group, and specifically
; devoid of the legislative prerogatives of any governmental body.
! Article 105. The duly appointed members of the Council shall , ,

receive no pay from the Council but may be reimbursed for authorized.

~ travel expenses in accordance with Florida Statute 112.06~. i

~ Article 106. Where the word "Council" appears herein it shall

~ be interpreted as the Regional Planning Council in Fort Pierce and

~ St. Lucie County. .

Article 107. Where the term "Governmental Bodies" appears herein

~ - with uo t further definition, it shall be interpreted as the City of
~ ~

Fort Pierce, the City of Port St. Lucie, the Town of St. Lucie Village, ~

and St. Lucie County, Florida.

" Article 201. The object of this Council shall be to act in an ~
} advisory capacity to the Governmental Bodies, upon their request, in

= regional metropolitan, county and municipal planning matters involving
_ land use, water resources, highways, recreational areas, public schools,
sewage and garbage disposal, public libraries, urban redevelopment

and other matters concerning the acquisition, planning, construction, i
