I've got a Witnesa that heard him instruct me to I ~ replace the rod and main bearing, replace a valve cover atud and gasket € and repair the atarter. Judge, I didn't rebuild the engine. What I E did Was satisfactory. Now, because the condition atill exista, I am bei~g criticized. I told him that I didn't know if the rattle Was the result of a wrist pin or rod bearing. We fixed one it must be the " other. Upnn inspection by the Court, the rattle existad. Tt?e rear of the van was convered With oil. Maybe the van was worthy of the charges, hoWever~ little aare. The Court is not unmindful of his and hers cars and obviously this Was his pride and joy. The atarter which had been replaced Worka fine, but the engine clanked at idle.
