THIS CAUSE came on for hearing_upon the Defendant's -
Motion to Transfer this cause to the 16th Jtidicial Circuit ~pon,
the ground that the case was improper ly filed in St. Lucie County.
The Defendant contends that the prp~r venue is in Monroe County
where he resides and where allegedly the cause of action arose.
The Plaintiff is a Florida corporation, having its office
I and place of business in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida.
The Defendant is an individual residinq and aoing business in Key
West, Monroe County, Florida. The Plaintiff alleges that it entered
into a bailment with the Defendant for the mutual benefit of both
the Plaintiff and Defendant whereby Defendant in return for a valuable
consideration agreed to taw a vessel, known as the LCM-6 and owned
by the Plaintiff, from Defendant's place of business in Key West,
Florida, to the Plaintiff's place of business in Fort Pierce. That
persuant to the bailment, plaintiff entrusted the vessel into the
possession of the Defendant at Defendant's place of business in Key
West. That Plaintiff agreed, upon delivery of the LCM-6 at Plaintiff's
place of business in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida, to pay
Defendant the sum of $1,200.
