vii. Pets. No pets shall be maintained or kept in any of

~ the apartments other than qoldfish, tropical fish,
and the like, and such birds as canaries, parakeets,
and the like, except as may be specifically provided
for and suthorized by the rules and requlations of
the Association as they may from time to tin~e be
adopted or amended, or pursuant to written approval
of the board of directors of the Association, or the
Developer. Such written approval when once given and
relied upon in connection with the purchase and
acquisition of an apartment may not thereafter be
revoked or terminated during the lifetime of such
pet without the consent of the apartment awner.
viii. Signs. No "for sale" or "for rent" signs or other displays
or advertisinq shall be maintained on any part of the
coneaon elements, limited common elements or apartments,
provided, however, that the right is specifically
reserved in the Developer to place "for.sale" or

~ "for rent" signs in connection with any unsold or

~ unoccupied apartment she may from time to time own,

and the same right is reserved to any institutional
first mortgagee which may become the owner of an ~
apartment, and to the Association as to any apart- ~
ment it may awn. -
ix. Exterior alterations. No apartment owner shall paint -
or otherwise decorate or in manner alter the appear-
ance of any portion of the exterior of the apartment
building or any other portion of the common elements
without express written approval of the Association.

~ Examples of such prohibited alterations would include
~ but not be limited to installation of outside clothes- ~
~ lines on balconies, the installation of shutters or
