In the event of damages to the surface of Lessor's land, or to Lessor's groves, trees,
fences,-roads or growing crops and installations proximately caused by Lessee as a result
of Lessee's operations on the land covered by this lease, Lessee at its option will either
pay Lessor for such damages, or will, insofar as is reasonably practicable. restore the
