the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 86, of the
public records of St. Lucie County, Florida.

Before me, the undersigned authority, duly authorized to
administer oaths and take acknowledgements, personally appeared
P. DeFriest, Jr., who, after being by me duly sworn, upon oath
says: My name is S. P. DeFriest, Jr.; that Affiant is a lifelong

resident of St. Lucie County, Florida and,is presently one of the ;
County Judges of St. Lucie County, Florida; Affiant further states .
that E. P. DeFriest was the father of Affiant and has been dead for
apFroximately 15 years; Affiant further states i~hat he has always
gone by the name of S. P. DeFriest, Jr. and has alwaya signed his
name B. P. DeFriest, Jr., however, some confusion has arisen.over
the fact that he does not actually write out the word Jr, but
simply places a horizontal line after his last name which he con-
siders in his signature the Jr.; Affiant further states that he and

f his wife, Lyda S. DeFriest, purchased the above described pro~erty

~ from the Sxecutor of the Eatate of Kathleen B. Leslie and gave a

~ mortgage to said Executor securing the unpaid balance of the purchase
price on said erty; furthermore,.Affiant states that he and his
wife, Lyda S. De riest, conveyed the above described property to ~
American Steel Fence Co., Inc. of Orlando by deed dated July 8, 1971
and apparently the attorney for the grantee in said deed, which was ~
~ recorded in Official Record Book 193 at Page 2946 of the public
ad
~ records of St. Lucie County, Florida, saw the signature of Affiant
~
on the Contract of Sale and thought that his signature was simply
