A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING AUGUST
2001, AS "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" IN S~
LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie C~
the following determinations:
1. The National Association of Town Watch (NATW) is sponsor
crime and drag prevention program on August 7, 2001 called National N
2. The 18th Annual National Night Out provides a unique opportu~
to join the forces with thousands of other communities across the country i
police-community crime and efforts.
3. The Board of County Commissioners plays a vital role in assisl
Sheriff's Department through joint crime and drug prevention efforts in
supporting National Night Out 2001 locally.
4. It is essential that all citizens of St. Lucie County be aware of
prevention programs and impact that their participation can have on re~
violence in St. Lucie County.
5. Police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awaren
important themes of the National Night Out Program.
